  • More Prefer Institution: This is the second choice of degree awarding institution. This came as a result of outcry jamb received from parents and candidates during 2015 institution placement exercise when of jamb sent candidates to schools different from the ones they filled during jamb registration. To avoid such occurrences again, jamb now introduced this more prefer institution. If you cannot secure an admission in your most prefer school, jamb can send you to your prefer institution.

  • Prefer Institution:If your Most prefer school is a university, you can choose from poly or NCE as your prefer one. Candidate prefer polytechnic as prefer institution
  • Fourth Choice: Here you choose any college of education as your fourth choice. Even if you don’t want to go, you just have to choose one.
  • Vocational Centres: These are the centers where jamb might give you admission in the event that you could not make it to any of the first three institutions I mentioned.

State and Local Government of Exams: During jamb registration, JAMB wants you to choose a state and local government where you want to write your exams. You can choose any state and local government you want. For example you can do your registration in Lagos and choose PH as your centre.

You will not get your exams centre and sit number immediately after jamb registration, you are asked to re-print your slip at a given date to know your date of exams, the time and your sit number.

That is all that is required for jamb registration.

Since 2015, jamb has introduced the use of Computer Based Test (CBT), it is therefore necessary that you practice jamb cbt exams so that your jamb registration will be a success.

So register for a trial version of jamb cbt practice here.
