This news triggered mixed reaction among the people. While some are in favour of the scrap, others are of the opinion that scrapping of UTME will debar many students who are intelligent but whom their parents are poor the opportunity to get admission to higher institution.

Their fear is that the ‘rich people’ will get their ways in inflating their children’s mark, thereby preventing the intelligent but poor student from getting admission into higher institution.

    • In my own opinion, the issue is controversy, some belief that scraping Post Utme will denial some good and intelligent candidates admission, some are of the opinion that it is a good decision taken by FG. Let wait and see, for time will tell. Anyway thanks for your comment

  1. jamb should be scrapped not post utme. if there was no jamb this year’s giving of 40 marks to some candidates wouldn’t have occurred. And addressing of those that were not given to sit at home and wait for next year wouldn’t have been.

    • I really understanding your point of view. It could have amounted to injustice if jamb gives 40 mark to some and didn’t give to others. But with the reliable information I gathered, jamb discovered that their system had problem after the first set of candidates that wrote jamb exams and was immediately rectified. That is the reason why 40 marks was only given to those candidate that were affected. All the best.
